<p>Maybe I&#8217;m being overly optimistic, but could this be the turning point that finally convinces the consumer masses that location-based apps are worth their time?</p>
<p>If nothing else, the short-term nature of the deals means that more small businesses will be willing to try Groupon without worrying about the logistical nightmare of fulfillment and staffing that can often come with successful group deals.</p>
