I agree with your marketing shift, esp. in terms of social media marketing and it holds true with advertising models as well. Patience, waiting for the time to “sell” a product after the consumers give you their attention is spot on. My favorite example of this is Apple. Sure they run ads but they make products people need and want, and will let them come to them as they choose. FWIW.
